The tournament’s top scorer with five goals, Messi is expected to begin the match on the bench after Argentina secured top spot in the group with victories over Algeria and Austria. Coach Lionel Scaloni said the decision was purely to manage his captain’s workload and give other squad members an opportunity ahead of the knockout stage.
