On the occasion of her birthday, actress Ferdousi Mazumder spent an afternoon surrounded by some of her youngest fans.

The publication ceremony of “Bhindeshi Chhoy Golpo”, a collection of six translated stories, published by Shaishab Prokash, took place at Ichchhetola in Uttara yesterday. The event brought together 20 children, aged 4-15, along with cultural personalities like Tropa Majumdar, Dilara Zaman, Afzal Hossain, Ramendu Majumdar and Azad Abul Kalam.

The event kicked off with a birthday tribute to Ferdousi Mazumder and Tropa Majumdar from the children, before copies of the newly published book were distributed among them.

Speaking about the importance of language, Mazumder encouraged children to speak Bangla with care and respect.

Mazumder then read “Bochorer 12 Ti Mash”, a Greek folk tale from the book, after which she discussed the story’s moral lessons and answered the children’s questions.

The event concluded with the presentation of flower bouquets and potted sweet potato plants to Ferdousi Mazumder and Tropa Majumdar.
