United Medical College Hospital (UMCH) organised a first-of-its-kind public awareness campaign to mark Global Fatty Liver Day yesterday, bringing together renowned artists to raise awareness about liver health through the power of art, said a press release.

UMCH organised this initiative featuring six artists from across the country.

As part of the programme, the artists created and showcased their interpretations of fatty liver disease through art to communicate important health messages in an engaging and accessible manner. The live art session began in the morning on the hospital premises and continued throughout the day, with the artworks being completed and exhibited in the evening.

The event also featured a CME, educational activities, basic health screenings, and public awareness initiatives aimed at promoting liver health and preventive care.

The event was inaugurated by CEO Mohammad Faizur Rahman of United Healthcare; CFBO Abu Raihan Al Beruni of United Healthcare; Director Dr Azharul Islam Khan of Medical Services, along with eminent doctors from relevant departments.
