Milon also announced that the results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations would be published on July 20.

The results are usually published within 60 days of the end of written tests. The announcement is in line with that practice.

The exams began on April 21. Written tests under the general education boards ended on May 20, while Dakhil and vocational written tests ended on May 24.

A total of 18.57 lakh students registered for this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations, including 14.18 lakh for SSC, 3.04 lakh for Dakhil, and 1.34 lakh for vocational exams.

Meanwhile, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj yesterday said the government will begin distributing free uniforms, shoes, socks, and jute bags among more than 3.5 lakh students from over 25,000 government primary schools through a pilot project in July-August in phases.

At least one lakh students will be covered in the first phase, Bobby told reporters after a meeting at the Ministry of Textiles and Jute.
