Renowned singer Syed Abdul Hadi, who has enriched Bangla music for more than half a century with his melodious voice and gifted listeners with a string of timeless songs, is set to be honoured with a special award by the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in recognition of his outstanding contribution to music.

The award ceremony, titled Timeless Voice, Respect and Love for Syed Abdul Hadi , will be held on June 12 at 6 pm at the main auditorium of the BSA. The event will feature performances by contemporary artistes, who will present some of Syed Abdul Hadi’s most popular and enduring songs. In addition, various aspects of his long and illustrious musical journey will be highlighted.

Organised under the patronage of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, the programme will be attended by prominent cultural personalities from across the country.
