For this session, a total of 3,228 questions have been received, 191 for the prime minister and 3,037 for ministers. Besides, 98 notices of attention under Rule 71 and 293 notices of resolutions under Rule 131 have been submitted.

At the outset of the session, parliament mourned the death of eight-year-old schoolgirl Ramisa Akter, along with several political leaders, former MPs, and prominent figures, including Tofail Ahmed and Badruddin Umar.

The parliament expressed condolences over the deaths of Awami League leaders and former MPs AKM Rahmat Ullah, Dabirul Islam, ABM Anwarul Haque, and Moslem Uddin; former AL minister Shafique Ahmed; and Abdul Matin, an independent MP of the 10th parliament.

Parliament also expressed sorrow over the deaths of former BNP state minister Mizanur Rahman Sinha, Prof MA Mannan, former MPs Dewan Shamsul Abedin and GM Fazlul Haque; Jatiyo Party MPs Syed Md Kayser, Abu Noor Mohammad Bahaual Haque, and Golam Sarwar Milon; and CPB MP Md Shamsuddoha.

Condolences were also offered for Speaker Hafiz’s wife, Prof Dilara Hafiz, National Professor Sufia Ahmed, poet Helal Hafiz, Chhayanaut president Sanjida Khatun, singer Mustafa Zaman Abbasi, Nazrul singer Dalia Naushin, former BNP chairperson’s adviser Abdul Quddus, cultural figure Ataur Rahman, Social Welfare Minister AZM Zahid Hossain’s mother Begum Zebunnesa, former Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal general secretary Shafiul Bari Babu, monk Dr Gyanishree Mahasthabir, and journalist Gazi Ruhul Amin.

The House also mourned the deaths of children Fahima Mim, Amina, and Tabassum Akhter, all victims of rape and murder.
