Since March 15, a total of 55,705 patients with measles-like symptoms have been admitted to hospitals. During the same period, 52,050 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while many others, mostly children, are still undergoing treatment.

Health officials and experts said the infection rate is declining as more than 1.84 crore children have already been brought under vaccination coverage. However, they warned that deaths may continue for several more days as many children are already hospitalised.
