Freedom fighters of the 1971 Liberation War, alongside members of parliament, civil society leaders, and media personalities, joined The Daily Star yesterday in concluding its two‑day 35th anniversary celebrations. The closing programme brought together voices from across generations and institutions, marking the occasion with tributes, reflections, and renewed calls to uphold the values of resilience and free expression that have defined the paper’s journey. Just like the opening day, alongside the programme in the newly inaugurated hall on the building’s eighth floor, the event also featured an exhibition on the lower floors, showcasing the scars left behind by the attack on the institution on the night of December 18, 2025.
