The deceased were identified as Md Monir Hossain, 27, Jahidul Islam, 50, and Md Babul Hossain, 50 -- all residents of Chotobadkoya village in Lalpur upazila, said police.

In a separate road accident in the same district, a man, who was to get married on Monday, died in a car crash in Garmati area on the Natore-Pabna highway on Sunday.

Julfikar Islam Jillur, 26, was from Nawdapara village in Ishwardi upazila, said police.

In Jashore, three members of a family were killed and three others injured after their car crashed into a tree on the Jashore-Magura highway in Bagherpara upazila early yesterday.

The deceased were Abdul Majid Sardar, 65, his son Mahmud Hasan Zakaria Joni, 42, and Joni’s four-year-old daughter, Seherish. They were residents of Fatehabad village in Jashore’s Monirampur upazila, said police.

In Thakurgaon, a woman was killed and six others injured when a bus hit a diesel-run three-wheeler at Salondar on the Thakurgaon-Panchagarh highway on Monday.

The victim was Baby Akhter, 20, said Nirmal Chandra Mahanto, OC of Boda Highway Police Station.

In Kishoreganj, a motorcyclist and his pillion were killed, and another was seriously injured after a pickup truck ran over their motorcycle in Kuliarchar upazila on Sunday.

The deceased are Bijoy, 18, and his friend Jabir Hossain, 18 -- both residents of Dariakandi, said Suman Kumar Chowdhury, in-charge of the Kuliarchar Highway Police outpost.

In Gazipur’s Kaliganj, Juhura Begum, 60, was killed on Sunday night when she was hit by a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Chuariakhola area.

In Feni, three people were killed and eight others injured when a bus ploughed into a crowd at Rampur on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway early Sunday.

The deceased are Md Sohag Rahman, 31, of Dhaka’s Lalbagh area, Md Morshed, 39, of Dhaka’s Banglamotor area, and Md Kaiser, 25, of Chattogram’s Chandanaish upazila, said police.

In Habiganj Madhabpur upazila, four people were killed in a collision between a bus and a pickup truck on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway early Sunday.

The deceased are Asma Akhter, 35, of Kishoreganj’s Sadar upazila and her son Sajib Ahmed, 13; Manik Miah, 32, of Sylhet’s Kadamtali area and Ibrahim Miah, 28, of Sunamganj’s Shalla upazila, said police.

Meanwhile, 10 others, who were injured in road accidents in different districts, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) between the early hours of Thursday and yesterday morning, according to the hospital register.
