Anwarul also said all complaints regarding the lack of a level-playing field have been forwarded to the concerned returning officers and the electoral inquiry committee, who will take action in accordance with the law.

Asked whether the EC has been able to overcome public distrust, the election commissioner said, “We believe that trust or distrust ultimately belongs to the people... Political parties are taking part, and election campaigns are being conducted in a festive atmosphere in the field. These are expressions of confidence.”
