DIPLOMATIC CORRESPONDENT

Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister A Beris Ekinci arrives in Dhaka today for a two-day visit as the two countries aim to deepen cooperation in the areas of trade, defence and political relations.

Ekinci will lead Turkiye in the Foreign Office Consultation (FOC) tomorrow, while Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam will lead Bangladesh, said foreign ministry officials. The last FOC was held in 2019.

During the FOC tomorrow, discussions will focus on boosting trade and investment, defence cooperation and political relations.
