Litton also surpassed retired Mahmudullah Riyad to become the second-highest run-getter in T20Is for Bangladesh. He started his 111th T20I game with 2,437 career runs beside his name, needing eight more to overtake Riyad (2,444 runs in 141 matches). The first spot is held by all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who has scored 2551 runs in 129 T20Is.

Having elected to field first, bowlers ensured that Bangladesh had a modest total to chase, with pacers Taskin Ahmed and Tanzim Hasan Sakib scalping two wickets each. Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain got two wickets for 31 runs in his four overs, becoming the sixth Bangladeshi bowler to get to 50 T20I wickets.

Rishad got both his scalps in the final two deliveries of his spell, removing Hong Kong’s top-scorer of the game, Nizakat Khan (42 off 40) and Kinchit Shah (0 off 1). This also meant Rishad would be on a hattrick the next time he comes on to bowl for Bangladesh.
