Sadi said he would also work on resolving campus crises related to food, healthcare, and transport. “The medical centre is in dire condition — students call it the ‘Napa Centre’. I will work to turn it into a fully functional medical facility. I also want to reduce administrative hassles by introducing automation so students can access all services in one place.”

He stressed the need for financial support for students. “Many students do low-paid tuition jobs that affect their studies and campus life. Expanding scholarships can ease this struggle. Overall, we want to make the campus more student-friendly,” he said.

On the Jucsu election itself, he said, “This election is happening after 33 years. Jucsu is essential for protecting student rights. If elected, I will ensure the polls are held regularly. Even if I lose, I will continue working for this.”

He noted that ongoing exams in some departments were affecting the election atmosphere.

He also criticised the decision to close the campus before the vote, saying it could reduce turnout as many students might leave. He called on the administration to reconsider and ensure security by controlling outsiders’ entry.

Reflecting on recent political changes, he said, “We all stood together in the July movement to free the country from fascism. The familiar faces from that struggle are contesting this election. We are all pro-Bangladesh, so I don’t think there is any chance of clashes.”

“I may be contesting from the Chhatra Dal panel, but if elected, I will be the VP of the entire university. I will rise above party lines and work solely for the students,” he said.
