Every monsoon, Jharna Das collects water lilies from the wetlands of Khulna to earn some extra income. Popular for enhancing the flavour of fish dishes, the lilies are in high demand. Each morning, she ventures into the Amtala Beel in Abhaynagar of Jashore by boat, gathering 120-150 bundles, which she sells for Tk 3-4 each. The photo was taken yesterday.
