Aamir Khan is returning to playback singing after 27 years, since his iconic Aati Kya Khandala from Ghulam (1998). In his upcoming untitled comedy film, Aamir will sing two songs, having undergone formal vocal training under Sucheta Bhattacharjee.

The film’s music is composed by Ram Sampath. Although Aamir plays only a cameo, he emphasised the role’s significance and described the film as a lighthearted, feel-good comedy inspired by Basu Chatterjee and Hrishikesh Mukherjee.

Reflecting on his musical journey, Aamir fondly remembered Lata Mangeshkar, saying her songs still start his day. While the film’s title and release date remain undisclosed, Aamir’s return to singing brings a nostalgic charm to this much-anticipated Bollywood project.
