Despite having a Wasa connection, Chattogram’s Patenga area faces frequent water shortages. Moreover, water extracted from tube-wells remains salty due to proximity to the sea. As a result, residents have no other option but to purchase water for cooking and drinking. Small traders are capitalising on this demand, supplying water to residents at Tk 25 per drum.
