Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) yesterday dissolved 29 elected bodies of district and divisional football associations (DFAs), citing unavailability and resignation of association officials as well as inactivity of the said associations.

The decision was taken at the second meeting of the BFF executive committee after a four-member DFA-monitoring committee recommended to form ad-hoc committees in those associations. The DFA monitoring committee was also dissolved at the meeting.

BFF’s media committee chairman Amirul Islam Babu said after the meeting that the ad-hoc committees will be formed immediately and that they will hold elections within 90 days.

Most of the dissolved bodies, formed during the regime of Kazi Salahuddin, casted their votes on BFF October 20 elections as well as tie-breaking elections on November 30.

Babu also informed that the executive committee decided to increase fees for the referees to Tk 5000 from Tk 4000.
