A Kolkata Knight Riders official on Monday told The Daily Star that the franchise was looking to replace Bangladesh Test and T20I skipper Shakib Al Hasan for the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League due to his packed schedule with the national team. Shakib, however, seemed relaxed during Bangladesh’s practice yesterday despite all the noise regarding his participation in the tournament. The premier all-rounder turned up for the practice session on the eve of the one-off Test against Ireland but did not take part in the training.
