One person has died from Covid while 23 others were infected with the virus in 24 hours until Saturday morning.

With the new numbers, the total number of Covid deaths is 29,440.

The positivity rate rose to 1.27 percent from 0.58 percent, the day before, said a press release from the Directorate General of Health Services.

A total of 1,811 samples were tested during the period.

The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.45 percent while the recovery rate increased slightly.

In November, the country reported 10 Covid deaths and 1,345 cases.
