Another victim dies, death toll now 13

Another victim of the Mirsarai train-microbus collision lost the battle for life at Chattogram Medical College Hospital yesterday, raising the death toll in the tragedy to 13.

Tasmir Hasan, 16, of Khandakia village in Chattogram’s Hathazari upazila, succumbed to his injuries at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital around 10pm Saturday, doctor Noman Khaled Chowdhury, of neurosurgery, told The Daily Star.

Four more victims have been undergoing treatment at the CMCH, he added.

Earlier, another victim of the Mirsarai train-microbus collision named Ayat Hossain died in the same unit Friday.
