BNP senior leader Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain yesterday warned that Bangladesh is likely to face a deep economic crisis like Sri Lanka though the government is now trying to hush up the reality.

Speaking at a discussion at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU), he also blamed the government’s alleged mismanagement and wrong policy for the current power crisis in the country.

Mosharraf, a BNP standing committee member, said the country has been witnessing frequent power outages for a few days as the government did not take any step to ensure the necessary gas supply for the generation of required electricity.
