Azam said, “There are trenches under the walkway to hold rainwater. The water stored in the trench is being used for field care and other purposes.”

The entire area is open to all. The lighting system of the park illuminates the entire place at night.

Rafiq Azam is also helping out the city corporation to maintain the park properly. “I do this out of my own goodwill,” he said.

Contacted, local ward councillor Hasibur Rahman Manik said four dedicated staffers are maintaining the park. “Architect Rafiq Azam bears most of the expenses for that. I am also trying to assist him. Besides, city corporation cleaners are also helping to maintain the park.”
