Shamsul Islam said the mosque committee members kept putting pressure on them about the movement of the girl.

“We wanted to know about the matter from her father a month ago, but he didn’t contact us,” he said.

On January 26, the committee met at the mosque and discussed the matter.

Amin Mia said, “We did not ostracise Abdul Hai’s family. He did not attach importance to the management committee and that’s why he will go on his own path and we will go on ours.”
