Uprooted by heavy downpours and thunderstorms around a month ago, this tree has been an obstacle for pedestrians near the DSCC Nagar Bhaban area ever since. Recently, the city corporation auctioned it off to local timber traders, whose staffers were at work cutting the tree yesterday.
