Police arrested two youths in Narayanganj yesterday on charge of raping an RMG worker.

Sohan Hawlader (21) and Mehedi Hasan (19) were held in Ati Housing area of Siddhirganj, said police.

The victim and the accused are co-workers. Mehedi took her to Sohan’s sister’s home in the name of discussing her marriage with Sohan, said police. The two raped her when she went there on December 26, said Jaynal Abedin, SI of Siddhirganj Police Station.

The woman filed a case on Monday night, the SI added.

In primary interrogation, the accused confessed to raping her, Jaynal Abedin said.
