Ribery, Robben return as Bayern go five clear

Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben returned to action on Saturday as Bayern Munich heaped pressure on Bundesliga title rivals Borussia Dortmund with a 3-1 win over Hanover.

The veteran wingers, both of whom are set to leave Bayern at the end of the season, returned from injury as Bayern made heavy weather of a crucial victory over the Bundesliga's bottom club.

Robben made his first appearance since November while Ribery scored what may be his last ever goal at the Allianz Arena to seal a 3-1 win and put Bayern five points clear of title rivals Borussia Dortmund with a game in hand.

Hanover kept Bayern at bay for nearly half an hour before Lewandowski headed the hosts ahead from close range and Leon Goretzka curled the second in off the post.

The visitors hit back after half-time with a Jonathas penalty, the result of a highly controversial handball decision from VAR against Jerome Boateng.

Ribery secured the win six minutes from time, and the home fans had more reason to cheer a few minutes from time when Robben was brought on moments later. -Afp Sevilla suffer Champions League hiccup

Ronaldinho raps against corruption

Brazil’s Ronaldinho has found a second calling after retiring from professional football: rapper.

The former Brazil national and FC Barcelona megastar has released a song along with Brazilian singer Jorge Vercillo decrying corruption in their country.

The 2005 Golden Ball award winner appears in a video, recorded in a studio, wearing a black beret and a white tank top

emblazoned with the image of Saint George slaying a dragon.

Halfway through the duet, he plays drums, then breaks out in a 30-second rap solo.

"Love is our game, from start to finish, in my heart there are no longer enemies," he raps.

He then asks the armour-clad Christian saint to slay "the dragon of greed" and corruption, while a chorus bemoans the squandering of public funds in detriment of "schools and hospitals." -Are

Everton keep Euro dream alive with Burnley win Everton kept their slim hopes of a top-seven finish in the Premier League alive as they recorded a fourth consecutive victory at Goodison Park by defeating Burnley on Friday.

Burnley defender Ben Mee got a telling final touch to Richarlison's strike while Seamus Coleman headed in on the rebound as Everton ran out 2-0 winners in both sides' penultimate fixture of the campaign.

Burnley could not find a way back into the match, with Everton claiming an eighth clean sheet in their past 10 top-flight fixtures.

The win moved Everton up to eighth and to within a single point of Wolves in seventh - a position that will seal a Europa League berth next season if Manchester City beat Watford in the FA Cup final later this month.
