The daylong programme of the Golden Jubilee of Udichi Bangladesh and the 49th biannual conference of the Barishal Unit was held recently, calling to resist foreign cultural aggression and develop native culture.

The programme was presided over by Biswanath Das Munshi, Barishal Unit President of Udichi and inaugurated by Manabendra Batobayel, former President and Senior Cultural Activist. After the inaugural session, a procession marched on city roads and an organisational session of the programme was held.
