Long awaited UN-backed talks between Yemen's warring parties sputtered out yesterday before ever truly starting, after the Huthi rebels refused to travel to Geneva and fresh fighting broke out on the ground. Nearly 10,000 people have been killed in the conflict since Saudi Arabia and its allies intervened in Yemen in 2015.
