Indian Premier League chairman Rajeev Shukla confirmed on Friday that two playoff games -- the Eliminator and Qualifier 2 -of IPL 2018 have been shifted from Pune to Kolkata.

Pune was scheduled to host the two games, but with Chennai Super Kings shifting their base to Pune due to security concerns, Eden Gardens emerged as the frontrunner to host the two playoff games.

"We are happy to host the play-off matches and are looking forward to it," Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) joint-secretary Avishek Dalmiya said.

Mumbai will host Qualifier 1 and the Final on May 22 and 27 respectively.
