The High Court yesterday directed the inspector general of prisons to produce Oishee Rahman, who was sentenced to death for killing her parents, before it on April 10 for observing her mental condition.

The HC passed the order as Oishee's lawyers told the court that she was mentally disordered when she killed her parents.

The HC was holding hearing on the death reference and appeal of Oishee challenging the lower court verdict that sentenced her to death for murdering her father Mahfiizur Rahman, inspector of Special Branch of Police, and mother Swapna Rahman.

On August 16, 2013, the bodies of Mahfiizur and his wife Swapna Rahman were recovered from their Chamelibagh house in the capital.
