Although Suboma Mustafa has been a regular on the small screen, Asaduzzaman Noor, one of the most powerful actors of his generations, has been busy with his role as the Cultural Affairs Minister of the country. He had worked in just one play since being elected a member of parliament, but had expressed interest in acting in a BTV play. "Mati'r Prodip” marks his return to the BTV studios after 16 years. He will be seen as a flute player named Asad in the play.

About his work, a joyous Noor said 'I want to especially thank Harunur Rashid, the Director General of BTV, who has taken my

interest into consideration and made the arrangements. This is where it all began for all of us, and it’s always good to be back here."

Suboma Mustafa, meanwhile, said "Noor bhai is one of my favourite co-artistes. We have a special chemistry on screen, and off screen he is one of my best friends in the industry."

Asaduzzaman Noor made his first appearance on BTV through "Rong’er Fanush*, and went on to work in many acclaimed TV productions, the last of which was "Char Oddhaye", based on Rabindranath Tagore's novel of the same title. His last screen appearance with Suboma was in the series titled 'Gohine', directed by Badrul Anam Soud.
