Four Awami League candidates, three independent ones and one of BNP won municipality polls yesterday.

The elected are AL's Abdul Baten, a sitting mayor, in Pabna's Bera; BNP-backed independent candidate Monsurul Islam Danu in Nilphamari's Domar, Abdus Sattar Milon of BNP in Ghoraghat,Tazimul Islam Shamim of AL in Rangpur's Pirganj, AL candidate Shamsuzzaman Khan in Tangail's Ghatail, independent candidate Jahangir Alam Nannu in Bogra's Sonatola, AL nominated Abdul Wahab Khalifa in Patuakhali's Golachipa and independent candidate Ashraful Alam in Narail's Lohagara.
