BNP yesterday termed “imaginary and unrealistic" the Tk 2,95,100 crore budget proposed on Thursday.

At a press conference at BNP's Nayapaltan headquarters, Spokesperson Asaduzzaman Ripon said without democracy budgets cannot be implemented for investors' fears can not be allayed and that banks would be in trouble as the government plans covering the Tk 86,657 crore deficit with loans.

Asaduzzaman also lambasted Muhith for not stating how the goals would be achieved. He demanded cancelling the decision to reduce agricultural subsidy and imposing VAT on private medical colleges.
