BNP chairperson's Adviser Zainul Abdin yesterday predicted that the present "illegal" government would fall by February 13 in the face of people's demands and the ongoing movement, which he said was to protect people's lives and properties.

The former Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) president was addressing a meeting proBNP lawyers' platform Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum (JAF) organised on the SCBA premises supporting the hartal called by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.

SCBA Secretary AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon demanded that the

government step down by February 13.

JAF President Rafiqul Islam Mia said the movement would run until the fall of the government.

He also said the government was hatching a conspiracy to kill BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia by cutting off water and power supplies to her Gulshan office.
