The Bangladesh Dance Artiste’s Association and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy have jointly chalked out a two-day festival titled "Bulbul Chowdhury Mela-2013" - to celebrate the 94th birth anniversary of Bulbul Chowdhury, the pioneer of classical dance in Bangladesh.

The first day's programme (yesterday) included a workshop and open discussion at the Shilpakala Academy on the work and creativity of Bulbul Chowdhury. The second day's programme, to be held today at the National Theatre Hall, will hand over the "Bulbul Chowdhury Memorial Medal" to Dance Guru Amanul Haque, and include dance performances from artistes.
