DURING the Durga Puja, Hindu devotees celebrate the victory of good over evil, truth over false and right over wrong.

Some admirers dance in all smiles while others chant mantras. The Kumari is worshipped as a personification of the goddess. The Nabami Bhog (offering of sweets) is offered to the deity. Finally comes the Dashami, the last day of Durga Puja, when the idol of Goddess Durga is immersed in the nearest river. The photos were taken recently in the capital.
