After a long hiatus (almost 18 years), noted singers -Sabina Yasmin and Syed Abdul Hadi - are recording together for an album. The artiste duo is recording three duet numbers for the upcoming album titled “Balaka”. Both artistes will also record two solo songs each, for the album.

Prosenjit Ojha has written lyrics while Monowar Hossen Tutul has composed tunes for the album. Binod Roy has arranged the music.

The singer duo did playback for several films and recorded albums. Composed by legendary musician late Satya Saha, the artiste duo recorded songs for an album titled, “Neel Bedona” 18 years back. Soundtek produced the album. Since then they have not cut out any album. However, they did some playback for films.

“I'm excited to record songs with Sabina Yasmin after a long time. Prosenjit has written relevant and contemporary lyrics, while Monowar Hossen Tutul has set them to tune keeping both the demand of

time and our taste in mind. I hope all types of audience will accept the songs affably,” said Syed Abdul Hadi.

“I had been wanting to record songs composed by Monowar Hossen Tutul. Moreover, I got inspired to record the songs with Hadi bhai after a long break,” said Sabina Yasmin.
