A Dhaka court yesterday granted bail to Abul Kalam Azad, a director of Destiny 2000 Ltd, in two money laundering cases.

Azad is the last one out of 22 accused, including the company chairman and managing director, who got bail.

Earlier on September 6 and August 6, two separate Dhaka courts had granted bail to 21 other officials in the two cases.

Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Saifur Rahman passed the order after Azad's lawyer filed two separate petitions seeking bail in the cases.

On July 31, the AntiCorruption Commission (ACC) filed two separate cases with Kalabagan Police Station against 22 officials of the Destiny group, including Abul Kalam, for laundering Tk 3,285.26 crore by swindling investors.
