Dhaka Art Center has organised a solo print exhibition, titled "Living with the Expressions”, featuring the works of promising printmaker Ruhul Karim Rumee. The exhibition opened on June 30.

Dr. Dipu Moni, Minister for Foreign Affairs, was present as chief guest at the opening. Artist Rafiqun Nabi inaugurated the exhibition. Abul Barq Alvi, head of Printmaking Department, the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University and Lauren Lovelace, director of the American Center, Dhaka were present as special guests.

Rumee's woodcut prints, lithographs and etchings vividly portray human faces, nature and varied objects like rickshaws and wheels. He has also experimented with amorphous forms and compositions, which have been used in his prints.

Portraits of Rabindranath Tagore have come up in a variety of styles and forms while the outlines explore thoughts. A few portraits of common faces narrate the tales of human life with their notes of wish, pleasure and gloom.

The exhibition will continue till July 10.
