On January 28, Bangladesh Mime Federation and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy jointly organised a seminar titled, “Potential for modern mime in Bangladesh”, and a mime presentation at the seminar room of the academy.

Mime artiste Kazi Mashurul Huda was the keynote speaker at the seminar. Hosted by Bangladesh Mime Federation president Zahid Ripon, the seminar was attended by Bangladesh Film Development Corporation's managing director M. Hamid; general secretary of Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation Jhuna Chowdhury; playwright and

researcher Dr. Jaharabi Ripon; Assistant Professor, Drama at Jahangirnagar University, Dr. Israfil Ahmed, among others. A question-answer session and an open discussion made the event livelier. The seminar was chaired by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy's director general Liaquat Ali Lucky.

Shapnodol presented “Shadhinota Shongram”, Huda Mime Club staged “Symbiosis of God" and "Project 71”, Dhaka University Mime Action performed “Gormandizer”, Gazipur's Mukto-moncho Nirbak Dol presented "No Hunting Save Nature” and Khulna's Rupantor presented “Bhoboghure” at the Studio Theatre Hall after the seminar.
