A housewife was killed and three of her family became unconscious as a lightning struck them at Shreekolosh village under Rampal upazila yesterday. The deceased was identified as Asmin Begum, 23, wife of Daud Sarkar of the same village. Injured Shanti Rani, 50, Promise, 5, and Sumi, 26, were admitted to Shalikha upazila health complex. Rampal upazila health and family planning officer Dr Bimol Krishan Bain said the incident occurred when Asmin went out of her house during heavy rain. The three others fainted due to the loud sound, he said.
