Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Science University Teachers Association leaders called for restoring normalcy at the university to help hold the five-day 8th International Scientific Seminar from September 21.

They in a statement on Saturday said the university has been organising international scientific seminars for the last seven years.

Preparation is going on to hold the 8th seminar in participation of veterinary scientists from the UK, the USA, Denmark, Japan, Italy, Australia, Thailand, Afghanistan and Saarc countries when agitation under the banner of a student organisation was posing threat to holding the seminar.

The association leaders in the statement signed by President Prof Goutam Buddha Das and General Secretary Prof Dr Md Masuduzzaman called upon all, including the district administration and political leaders, to come forward to restore normalcy at the university to help hold the seminar.
