Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and new Asian Cricket Council (ACC) president AHM Mustafa Kamal said that progress is possible for the country's sport within the next two years.

He was addressing a press conference yesterday after his return from Singapore where he was made the ACC chief in the association's annual general meeting on June 30.

Kamal said that the development was possible with the help of ACC and the International Cricket Council. Bangladesh supported the panel to elect Sharad Pawar as ICC president in the meeting last Friday.

The ACC president explained his two-year plan to develop the region's cricket. "ACC will arrange different tournaments with the participation countries like China, Nepal and Afghanistan," said Kamal.

He also informed that former India captain Saurav Ganguly and South African great Jonty Rhodes have shown interest to work as advisors with the national team for two to three weeks.

BCB vice-presidents Ahmed SajjadulAlamandAsaduzzaman Khasru and media committee chairman Jalal Yunus were also present on the occasion.
