BNP leaders have built 800 arches at a cost of over Tk 40 lakh to welcome Khaleda Zia who will address a grand rally in the city's Madrassa Maidan today.

In addition, around Tk 50 lakh will be spent on rent of buses, trucks and human haulers for taking people from the city wards to the rally. BNP leaders, contractors and various professionals, including doctors, are providing the money, BNP sources said. Around Tk 1 -2 lakh has been collected from each ward of the city.
