BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has once again expressed 'no confidence' in a High Court bench about getting justice from it on the writ petition regarding her cantonment residence.

She conveyed this to the HC bench comprised of Justice Md Imman Ali and Justice Obaidul Hasan through a petition submitted to it yesterday.

In her petition yesterday, the former prime minister also prayed to the HC bench to drop from the list of cases for hearing the writ petition challenging a government notice asking her to leave the cantonment house, or to send it to the chief justice.

Earlier on April 13, the same bench rejected a similar petition filed by Khaleda expressing no confidence in this bench, and fixed May 4 (yesterday) for hearing the writ petition.

The BNP chief stated in the petition that she might not get justice from this bench.

Khaleda's counsel Mahbubuddin Khokon told this correspondent that his client expressed no confidence since this bench had earlier wanted to get her lawyers arrested, and also because it is influenced by the attorney general.

The bench on April 12 urged senior lawyers to save them, and the image of the court as a group of pro-BNP lawyers created chaos during the hearing of the writ petition by it.

Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia appeared for Khaleda while Attorney General Mahbubey Alam represented the government yesterday.
