Human rights ambassadors of the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark will visit Bangladesh fromOctoberl 1-15.

The three ambassadors-Arjan Hamburger of Netherlands, Gunter Nooke of Germany and Arnold de Fine Skibsted of Denmark—will take stock of the human rights situation in Bangladesh following the December, 2008 elections, said a press release of Dutch Embassy.

They will also share and exchange experiences with various partners and relevant authorities and continue the on-going dialogue on human rights issues between the European Union (EU) and the Government of Bangladesh.

^ l^i^ambassadors are expected to call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Foreign Minister Dipu Moni, State Minister for Home Affairs Shamsul Haque Tuku, Law Minister Shafique Ahmed, State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Shirin Sharmin and Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs State Minister DipankarTalukder.

Ambassador of Sweden who currently holds the EU-Presidency and the ambassadors of the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark in Dhaka will accompany the human rights ambassadors, the release added.

They will also meet with the National Human Rights Commission, the Bangladesh Election Commission, the Inspector General of Police, the Director General of Bangladesh Rifles and the Director General .of Rapid Action Battalion.

Besides, they will meet with representatives of civil society organisations and with leaders of Bangladesh think tanks in order to discuss issues of common concern.

The delegation will also visit the UNHCR Kutupalong refugee camp near Cox's Bazar.
