Favourite India continued their domination on the second day in the 5th South Asian Shooting Championship at the BKSP shooting range yesterday

I jke the first day ihc Indian shooters swept all the golds decided on the second day and improved their tally to 10 gold, three silver and five bronze medals. Pakistan followed the leader with five silver and two bronze medals while hosts Bangladesh bagged three silver and one bronze and Sri Lanka has one silver and two bronze medals. Bhutan failed to secure any medal so far.

In the day's women's 10m air rifle team event, India scored 1181 to win the gold while Bangladesh won the silver with 1177 and Pakistan finished third scoring 1135.

Indian Priya Aggarwal won the individual event of 10m air rifle with 499.6 while local Sharmin Akhter Ratna fin ished second with 496.5 and Indian Lajja Goswami bagged bronze with 494.8.

India scored 1692 to win gold while Pakistan won the silver with 1604 and Sri Lanka finished third with 1593. The Indian shooters swept all the three titles in the individual event of women's 25m pistol. Anisa Sayyed (566), Anuraj Singh (565) and Shweta Chaudhary (561) bagged the medals for India in this event.

In the men's 50m rifle prone, India won the team event after scoring 1764 while Pakistan scored 1733 to win silver and Bangladesh scored 1722 to win bronze.

Indian shooters also bagged the all medals in the individual event of the men's 50m rifle prone and they were Joydeep Karmakar (593), Sanjeev Rajput (587) and Shamser Singh (584).

Today's event: 50m rifle prone (women's), 10m air pistol (men's), skeet 75 shot competition.
