Senior reporter of BSS Syed Mamun was reelected general secretary of Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA) for the next two years in its biennial general meeting held at its office yesterday.

Earlier, Manzurul Haque (Independent) was reelected BSJA president unopposed. Arifur Rahman Babu (Janakantha) and Mohammad Sayeeduzzaman (Amar Desh) were elected vice-presidents and Raihan Al Mughni (New Age) treasurer. They were also elected uncontested.

Five elected executive committee members are Anisur Rahman (BD News), Ranjan Sen (Desh TV), Mosharraf Hossain (Purbakon), Tareq Mahmud (Prothom Alo) and Ajoy Barua (Sangbad).

Renowned journalist and former president of Dhaka Reporters Unity M Shafiqul Karim Sabu was the election commissioner. Forty-one voters, out of 45, cast their rights in the election.
