Ahead of Tuesday's Premier Division 1\venty20 semifinal, Biman face an injury scare to their superstar Shakib Al Hasan, who is reportedly suffering from a groin problem.

The all-rounder has been asked to rest by national team physio Michael Henry who is currently working full time with some of the national players.

The injury to Shakib, who remains the number one allrounder in the world, is not particularly severe and thought to be a result of the Tigers' busy international schedule.

Biman are also burdened with another injury in the form of a broken collarbone to former national batsman Tushar Imran.

Also in the injury front, paceman Nazmul Hossain has been diagnosed with typhoid but is expected to be fit by the middle of next week. He missed the last game for Abahani against Victoria on Saturday at the Fatullah Cricket Stadium. Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal is also suffering from illness and will require another two to three days of rest.

Another national cap Syed Rasel is now fully fit and will be starting to train after (he this tournament finishes on February 4. With 50 international one-day wickets. Rasel last played for the tigers in November 2008 against South Africa at Willowmoore Park, Benoni. Having missed the entire Premier Division T\venty20 meet he will be putting in every bit of effort to get back to the national side.
