high-profilecorrupt suspects.

Five of the courts will be moved to Dhaka District and Sessions Judge's Court while five others to five divisions.

A gazette notification signed by Deputy Secretary Sharif Mostafa Karim of the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs ministry was issued in this regard on December 22 as per order of the President.

The five courts that will be shifted to Dhaka District Judge's Court are first, second, third, fourth and fifth and judges of the courts are Firoz Alam. AK Roy, Shahed Noor Uddin, Jesmin Anwar and Mohammad Ashraf Hossain.

Besides, the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth courts will be moved to Chittagong, Rajshahi. Khulna, Sylhet and Barisal divisions respectively. Judges of the courts areTanjina Ismail. Mohammad Sirajul Islam. Mohammad Abu Hanif, Kondaker Kamal Uzzaman and A KM Arifur Rahman.

In May 2007, the present caretaker government had set up five special courts on the Sangsad Bhaban premises for fir st time to deal with the cases filed on charges of corruption. The government later set up five other courtsas the number of corruption cases increased.
